Vytina in our hearts

Save Vytina Bees could not exist without the place that gave birth to it. Vytina, nestled in the heart of Arcadia, is not just our base – it is our endless source of inspiration, the legacy handed down to us, and the future we envision. Its lush forests, aromatic mountains, and clean springs create the ideal environment for healthy hives and the production of honey with unique quality.

From 1965 when our grandfather started to today, our relationship with the place remains unwavering. Here we took root, here we grew up, here we want to continue contributing. Every move we make is for the good of the local community, because we believe that a healthy local economy is the foundation for a sustainable future.

Our contribution to the local economy

Beekeeping, beyond its environmental dimension, is a vital pillar of the local economy. Through our activities, we create jobs, support local professionals, and contribute to the development of a production network that benefits the region in multiple ways.

Each year, our hives’ journey follows the flowering of the Greek land, from mountainous Arcadia to the pine forests of Evia and the thyme-covered mountains of Sparta. This migratory beekeeping creates indirect economic activities, supporting local suppliers, transporters, and small businesses. At the same time, our honey’s production and packaging are done with respect for tradition, utilizing local resources and manpower.

Our presence in the market enhances Vytina’s extroversion, putting its name on the map of quality products, both in Greece and abroad.

Partnerships that build the future

No one can succeed alone. This truth led us to create a broad network of collaborations with local organizations, businesses, and producers.

We work closely with:

  • Local olive growers: The presence of hives near olive groves enhances pollination and improves olive quality, creating a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Hoteliers and accommodations: Through beekeeping tourism, we suggest visitors combine a tour of our hives with a stay in traditional Vytina guesthouses, thus supporting local hospitality.
  • Merchants and local product stores: Our products are available at selected points of sale in the area, boosting the local market and promoting the collective identity of Arcadian products.
  • Cultural associations and organizations: We actively participate in activities that promote tradition, culture, and environmental awareness.

Events and activities

Our participation in public life is not limited to production. We are always present at events that highlight our place and its products:

  • Vytina Honey Festival: A celebration dedicated to honey and beekeeping, bringing together producers and visitors, highlighting the area’s rich tradition.
  • Honey exhibitions in Athens: We participate annually in the honey exhibition at the Anthoupoli Exhibition Center and other food exhibitions, where we present our products and meet the capital’s public.
  • International participations: Through the Region of Peloponnese, we have the honor of representing Greek beekeeping in international events, such as the Greek Food Festival in Germany. There, Vytina honey travels and becomes an ambassador of the Greek land.

Each participation, each celebration, each collaboration is an opportunity for us to strengthen our ties with the community and share our love for the place and the bees. Because we believe development is measured not only in numbers, but in the strength of human relationships and the prosperity of the entire society.

We invite you to experience this effort firsthand, become part of our activities, and feel the warmth of Vytina’s hospitality.

Come, let’s build together a future that honors the past and embraces nature.
